| Earth Day grocery project: 15 girls participated, 20
bags were submitted to Milam’s Market for display Grades from 4- 5th grades Contact: Maria Guillem-Pendas, Girl Scout leader pendas@bellsouth.net Our project: Girl Scouts Troop #1938 participated in decorating paper bags with pictures and messages about reusing paper bags in order to reduce the amount of garbage in the landfills. The messages included mottos for how to take care of our environment for their future. The paper bags were taken back to Milam’s Market to be displayed on Earth Day, April 22. In addition the girls participated in Baynanza Day, a day to clean our beaches and parks. |
