Grades 4 and 5 students
from École Van Walleghem School participated in this project. We
decorated 91 grocery bags with environmental slogans and artwork. Four students
- one from each of the participating classes - then took a trip to Grant
Park Safeway to deliver our bags. Safeway displayed our bags, and then distributed
them to to customers on april 22 - Earth Day. We took photos of all stages
of the project and put them up on the Web. This project was really fun and
we hope the whole school will participate for Earth Day in 2000!
