We decorated 100 bags!

About our project: This was the first year Canton Elementary students participated in this event and they really enjoyed decorating bags with various earth promoting slogans! Third and fourth graders actually decorated two bags each. The bags were then delivered to a local Shop-n-Save grocery store where they were used to bag groceries on Earth Day! We are looking forward to this activity next year!

We decorated 350 bags!

About our project: We are a school located in Northern Maine. This is the second time we participate in this activity. It had such a great impact on the students and the community that we had to do it again! Making a difference is the lesson to be learned on Earth Day!

We decorated 300 bags!

About our project: We found the web site through the magazine Copycat. We were already studying about the earth and how we should take care of it. The students voted to participate in the EarthDayBags project. Our local newspaper took pictures and interviewed the students. The entire school really enjoyed the project.
