We decorated 130 bags!

About our project: Nestled in the beautiful Appalachian mountains of West Virginia, Beverly Elementary School is proud to announce their participation for the first year in the Earth Day Groceries Project. What a great way to involve all grade levels at our school from pre-school to fifth grade. Our community grocery store, Campbell's Market, agreed to be our partner in this project by donating and distributing brown grocery bags to its customers. Students worked cooperatively to achieve some fantastic designs and artwork in connection with the Earth Day theme. This worthy project not only showcased the artwork of our students, but it was a terrific way to strengthen school and community relations. Many students, teachers and members of the Beverly community have given positive feedback and we look forward to continuing this as an annual project.
