We decorated 70 bags!

About our project: We decorated 70 bags! This was a fascinating project! It's the second time our English Language School takes part in this amazing activity of decorating bags and making people aware of the importance of taking care of our planet. Our students really enjoyed this Earth Day project and they felt excited about telling people why they should use paper bags instead of plastic ones! We took advantage of this activity and talked to our eight to ten-year old children about ecological matters and the significance of loving our Earth. It was a great and wonderful experience!"

We decorated 400 bags!

About our project: I decided to work on this project, for second time, with all students from 4th to 6th grade. We are four Science Teachers and we decorated the paper bags during the Earth Day Week. We explained the students the importance of conserving our environment clean and healthy for the benefit of all organisms and for ourselves. After they colored the bags, three students got the chance to hand them in to the supermarkets manager Mr. Edwin Morales. They remained for an hour putting clients groceries in their bags and explaining them the reason why they were there. It was an excellent activity for them and they told their friends. They are willing to repeat this next year.

We decorated 10 bags!

About our project: Upon looking for Earth Day projects and ideas I came across your site. I was very excited about it and submitted my local Girl Scout Committee to participate. I have to admit that our troop was doing and extended Earth Day activity, so the timing was off by a week and we did not get the interest in the idea as we would have liked. None-the-less, Earth day is an everyday preservation so we continued our studies and decorated our own grocery bags. The girls made some super designs and we delivered them to our commissary for distribution. The staff there were super and really talked up our bags to the patrons. It was a wonderful thing to do, since our girls were being shy about talking to 'strangers'. We enjoyed the grocery bag project and hope that it will be better recieved next year, so that we can involve all of our scouts! Thanks for such a great way to spread the word of recycling!!!

We decorated 100 bags!

About our project: This was the first time that our hotels participated in The Earth Day bags Project. Our General Manager Mr. Twerenbold, Animation Team, in-house children and their parents were very supportive. We used our breakfast box bags and our in-house children at the hotels' kids clubs liked the idea and succeeded in getting 100 bags decorated before the event and we distributed the bags to our guests on April 22nd. This project allowed children of various ages and nationalities to appreciate and respect nature and the idea helped to spread the awareness to the children and accordingly their parents as well as the guests who received the breakfast boxes. As a follow up with our hotels' guests they loved our bags and re-used them! We plan to make this project an annual event.
