We decorated 100 bags!

About our project: Shady Park Key Market was happy to loan us the bags; the children decorated them, and they were returned to be used on Earth Day Weekend. The children enjoyed the project. This was Year 2000.

We decorated 72 bags!

About our project: After hearing The Giving Tree, we had conversation, then we did interactive writing of a letter to Kroger's, requesting bags. Kroger was pleased to work with us.

We decorated 373 bags!

About our project: Our school is made up solely of Kindergarten and Preschool students. This was our first year to participate, and the project was easy enough for them to enjoy. Our local Kroger opened just ten days prior to Earth Day, and it was a great opportunity to foster good community relations. The store displayed the bags before Earth Day, and the parents enjoyed looking for their child's bag. Check back soon for pictures!

About our project: Our school is made up solely of Kindergarten and Preschool students. The project was easy enough for them to participate in and enjoy. Our local Kroger opened just ten days prior to Earth Day, and we thought involvement with them would foster community involvment and awareness. We decorated 500 bags!

About our project: Several students whose families did not recycle began to do so. Also one student went to the grocery with her mother and their groceries were put in the bag she had decorated at school. She brought it to school to show everybody. Did this happen anywhere else in the world!!
