We decorated 190 bags!

About our project: Food Country ordered in bags especially for us. The students enjoyed doing them. We hope to build on this year's first experience.

We decorated 60 bags!

About our project: Students taught by Mr. Strain and Mrs. Kerton produced some of the most striking, colourful scenes to support their environmental messages. The messages on each bag were neither trite nor cliched, but demonstrated the creativity and enthusiasm of the students. John, the Markeplace IGA manager was most receptive to our ideas and even suggested we create a poster, which we did, which was signed by all participants. Parents enjoyed the bags they received, and, after the fact, one other Grade 6 class at our school has been motivated to repeat the project. They will take their bags to the Marketplace IGA for distribution. A great success!

We decorated 50 bags!

About our project: We borrowed the bags but the store manager informed us that he couldn't redistribute the bags for health reasons. He did say he would hang the bags on the wall which made for a very attractive mural...
