We decorated 350 bags!

About our project: We actually used this activity to help us with our year-long character education unit. "Respect" is our current topic, so the Earth Day Bags worked very well!

We decorated 200 bags!

About our project: I started the lesson by telling the kids a little about Earth Day and what it was. I gave them about 30 minutes to draw on the bags and I noticed one child was just sitting there. I asked her what was wrong and she said she did not know what to draw. I said,"what do you think of when you hear the term Earth Day". She looks at me and says "Earth Day, I thought you said Birthday"! This was a great project and the kids and teachers all loved it and wanted to know if we could do it again the following week!
