We decorated 150 bags!

About our project: Since we were all going to be away for Earth Day and couldn't do anything at school on the actual date, this Grocery Bag Project was perfect! The Co-op store let us have as many bags as we wanted. We decorated them and returned them. They were used for packing groceries on the 22nd, and at least one Co-op clerk commented on what a great idea it was!

We decorated 500 bags!

About our project: Grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 students from Crossing Park School participated in the Earth Day Groceries Bag Project 2003. Special thanks to our partner, Calgary Co-op (Taradale location) and store manager, Terry Singer. We decorated 500 bags with environmental slogans and artwork. These bags were then distributed to Co-op customers on Earth Day, April 22, 2003. What a wonderful way to share the message with our community that we, at Crossing Park School, care about our environment! At our school, we Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse and we try to promote Earth Day, Every Day!
