We decorated 150 bags!

About our project: This is our first year doing the "Grocery Bags for the Earth" project and we had a great response. Publix donated the bags and students decorated over 150 bags with Earth-friendly messages. Next year we would like to propose decorating the bags in art class so that every student has the opportunity to decorate a bag.

Look at our pictures!

We decorated 175 bags!

About our project: Our local Publix loaned us the grocery bags and we decorated them while on our weekend Family CUB-SERVATION Camp-out, just in time for Earth Day! We had Cub Scouts and their parents working together to decorate the bags with messages of conservation. By doing this along with all our other activities of the camp-out weekend, the Cub Scouts earned the Conservation Good Turn Award from the Boys Scouts of America!

We decorated 580 bags!

About our project: Keep Dalton/Whitfield Beautiful coordinated this effort for the local schools who wanted to participate. KDWB is also sending in all reports for the individual schools. The ease of just having to work on the project and not handling all the details encouraged more schools to participate in our area.
