We decorated 60 bags!

About our project: This Earth Day bag project was tied in to classroom presentations about litter reduction and recycling. We targeted private schools and a small country school in Keith County, Nebraska. The bags were then distributed at both of our local grocery stores. It was a great project and the kids really enjoyed showing off their art talent and their understanding of taking care of the Earth.

We decorated 300 bags!

About our project: The project was a big success! Every student at Howard Kennedy decorated at least one bag. Fifth graders decorated two each. Some of the older students helped the younger students complete their bags and had fun at the same time. The bags will be filled with groceries for customers of the North 30th Street Baker's Store, raising awareness of Earth Day in the North Omaha area.
