We decorated 250 bags!

About our project: This was a last minute idea I decided to try and it was extremely successful. We had students from preschool to sixth grade decorate the borrowed bags and all students enjoyed the project. It's fun, simple and worthwhile. It is definitely a project that I will make an Earth Day tradition!

We decorated 136 bags!

About our project: We had a great time again this year decorating our bags; we set-up a drop-in craft station at our Main Library as well as 2 branches. A few class visits also helped to create our total. The local Kroger store we brought the bags to will be displaying the bags in their windows as well as using them to pack groceries.

We decorated 100 bags!

About our project: We completed this project for Earth Day in Science as an activity for our chapter on Earth's Land Resources. It was a great way to get all of the fourth graders interested in recycling. We had lots of fun!

We decorated 31 bags!

About our project: I was hoping for a bigger turnout of kids, but with the nicer weather and spring sports, I had only 5. They did a great job, and decorated 31 grocery bags for our local Harding's Market to distribute for Earth Day. It was a fun project, and the kids enjoyed it. Next year I will advertise better, and hopefully will have a bigger turnout.
