We decorated 431 bags!

About our project: The students at our school teamed up again with our local Safeway, for the 13th straight year!! Thanks, Safeway! Once again the third graders in Room 12 coordinated the effort at school, distributing the bags to classrooms, explaining the project, answering questions, editing all the bags, designing (more than one!) of their own, and finally delivering them to the store the day before Earth Day - whew - great job, Room 12! Classroom winners (of a $30 Safeway gift card, for an Earth Day Party) were Mrs. Van Dyck's kindergarteners, Mrs. Shavey's second graders (again!), and Mrs. Kennewick's fifth graders. Congratulations to everybody - this year's bags were the best yet!
