We decorated 50 bags!

About our project: Hattings Supermarket graciously donated 50 bags for the Earth Day project. We gave the students a bag/two and gave them a list of words/taglines for Earth Day and gave them ideas of what to draw. They loved this idea and we told them that strangers will have their groceries put into their decorated bags to remind them what Earth Day means.

We decorated 400 bags!

About our project: Another year of reminding our students that choosing paper bags (which come from a renewable resource) is a better option than plastic (which is made from fossil fuels). Every student in our school, MILLERSBURG ELEMENTARY, decorated a grocery bag for our local grocery store, RODHE'S IGA, with reminders for the public to CARE about the only planet we have ~ EARTH!
