We decorated 350 bags!

About our project: As science lead teacher for my school, I was approached by the City of Mesa to see if we would be interested participating in this activity and joining in the celebration of Earth Day in our Community. Fellow teachers agreed with me that it was a great activity that we could use in our instructional day and it would enhance our science curriculum. 350 students decorated a bag for our local grocery store Albertson's. The best treat was when the parents went to shop and they had their groceries packed into one of our students' bags......and then Albertson gave our school some wonderful coupons for some yummy treats as a thank you for participating....We say, "thanks" for including us in helping celebrate Earth Day in such a fun way!!!
