We decorated 160 bags!

About our project: The students did research on Earth Day on the Internet and used various software to create and or modify graphics in computer class. They then used their information and graphics in Art class to create beautiful bags.

We decorated 282 bags!

About our project: The children loved decorating the brown bags knowing they were going to be distributed at the local grocery store. Shop N Save was more than willing to donate the bages for this project. They were even more willing to distribute them on Earth Day. Thanks so much for a wonderful idea to make others aware of Earth Day.

We decorated 485 bags!

About our project: I am a student teacher at Northley Middle School. I coordinated the project for the entire 6th grade also a 7th and 8th grade class participated. The project was successful and was part of an earth day celebration I planned which included visiting a local arboretum, and planting flowers. Before we decorated the bags the students broke into groups and did short 1-minute skits on various Earth Day issues to get everyone in the mind set.

Look at our pictures!

We decorated 615 bags!

About our project: Students from our high school Recycling Club worked with our third graders. It was a great opportunity for different age levels to work together! The younger children loved working with the "grown up" kids. Fourth and fifth graders completed their projects independently in class or at home. This has become a yearly project for us. A great way to celebrate Earth Day in our community.
