We decorated 450 bags!

About our project: The Student Council at Hoffman Boston Elementary School sponsored an Earth Day Project for the entire school. The students from Kindergarten through 5th grade were "challenged" to learn about ways to help save the environment. Each student was then asked to decorate a Grocery Bag that would teach others about saving the earth.

We decorated 70 bags!

About our project: I found out about this project several years ago through one of my teacher magazines. Our students cut and color pictures of the earth to glue on the bags. Then, the children write and/or color pictures. I feel the children and the community benefit from this project!
