We decorated 200 bags!

About our project: We received an anonymous phone call at school just hours after our bags were delivered. The caller/shopper was so impressed with the artwork and the messages about Earth Day that they were compelled to call and thank the children.

Look at our pictures!

We decorated 190 bags!

About our project: While doing a unit on the earth, students inquired about earth day. We then started trying to come up with ways to tell our community about recycling. Their top three ways were flyers, posters, and giving a speech. I steered them to your website and them talked to the owner of Apple Market. He, John, was eager to have us do this. We got the bags on Monday and I returned them on Thursday evening. They want to know if we will be doing it again next year. I told them yes!

We decorated 300 bags!

About our project: Our students had a great time with this project. We extended it a little bit by writing Earth Day and environmental facts on index cards, which we then stapled on the top inside part of each bag. The shoppers commented on not only the decorations on the bags, but the important facts included inside! We hope that we helped raise community awareness about Earth Day and environmental issues with this project!

We decorated 86 bags!

About our project: I am a block teacher here in the school and I taught an entire unit about Earth Day. The students loved it and learned a lot of really useful information. For the 3rd lesson I had them create bags for Earth Day. I was even able to let most of them color more than one bag. They loved the activity and the store did too.
